The film presents Wiesław Ignatowski, a mountaineer, climbing single-handed pillar of Ganek in the Tatra Mountains. Parallel to this, we see his three years old son, who makes his first steps on his life road. We observe the similarities and differences when we compare the son and the father in identical situations: marching, resting, eating. Their emotions when painting, playing and climbing one ice or rock, bring reflection upon the basic elements of our lives. A metaphor of man's journey through life is being created.
